Forms

Forms let editors collect information from visitors — an enquiry, a registration, a piece of feedback — without anything having to be built specially. A form is added to a page as a block, in the same way as any other element.

Building a form

You assemble a form field by field: single lines of text, longer messages, dates, checkboxes, choices from a list. Each field takes a label and can carry a short hint explaining what is wanted, and can be marked as required so the form cannot be sent without it.

Because a form is a block, it sits on an ordinary page alongside the text that introduces it. There is no separate place to go and no separate thing to maintain. Easy and effective.
